Why supply through Tourism Exchange?

Tourism Exchange New Zealand is a business-to-business marketplace on the internet. It’s the central place to sell your rooms and inventory to local and global distributors. Any day, any time.

    You can opt-in and start transacting with any distributor on the Exchange. Reach new distributors you’ve never had access to before. You can even set-up and manage your existing distribution agreements through the Exchange.

    Your bookings will be live on the Exchange, 24 x 7. No delays. No lost sales while requests are confirmed. No juggling with allocations. Just real-time sales of all available inventory. And you’ll have access to more distributors. That means more opportunities for more bookings.

    Tourism Exchange uses real-time inventory and pricing. If you don’t have a real-time inventory management system, we can advise you of the options available, including Eviivo Frontdesk - a cost effective system that is already fully integrated into the Exchange. Real-time inventory means you don’t need to allocate rooms to different distributors. All available rooms are up for sale all the time. When they’re sold, Tourism Exchange – and every distributor - is automatically updated. No more guess work on how much inventory to ring fence to distributors, which you then can’t sell.

    Save hours every day. No more time managing allocations, hand backs, booking queues and updating inventory. On Tourism Exchange, it’s all automatic. And no more time and money finding new distributors. They are all easily accessible through the Exchange.

    Tourism Exchange allows you to receive immediate payment for forward bookings (‘direct to supplier’) made through a distributor’s website. Or you can take bookings 'on account'. It’s simply depends on the terms you agree with the distributor. You can also create new revenue streams by selling services on behalf of other local tourism operators, and earning commissions via the Exchange.

    The Exchange is entirely neutral. You choose which distributors you’ll do business with. You decide your prices. You decide when to adjust them. You decide who can have access to wholesale, retail, last-minute, or even special promotional pricing.

  • Eliminate double bookings
    Because Tourism Exchange only offers live bookings, there’s no risk of double bookings. If there’s no availability, a distributor can’t complete the booking.
  • Eliminate losses of payment
    Your bookings can be reconciled with settlement reporting through Tourism Exchange. So you can ensure that all your distributors are invoiced accordingly. That means un-invoiced vouchers can be a thing of the past.
  • Add extra sales
    Do you ever recommend local tours, activities or places to stay? Now you can earn commission. Your recommended suppliers simply provide live inventory. You can then become their distributor by logging into the Tourism Exchange Booking Centre and "windowing in" to their live availability. They can do the same for you of course. 
  • No term contracts
    You choose how and when to participate on the Tourism Exchange. There are no contracts. You can use it when you want. And stop any time you want. All you need to do is complete the Participation Pack and sign the Participation Agreement that ensures everyone plays by the rules of fair conduct on the Exchange. It's easy, flexible and up to you
  • Non-exclusive
    Tourism Exchange is entirely neutral. Any supplier and any distributor can participate. From the smallest attraction provider to the largest hotels.
  • Pay only on success
    Tourism Exchange is designed to grow your customer base and increase your sales. But you pay only when the Exchange delivers. For each successful booking you pay a 3.5% success fee plus a $1 charge per transaction.
