The real-time, central marketplace for New Zealand tourism suppliers and distributors. Now you can buy and sell New Zealand tourism products and services from one central marketplace. All live. All online. All at the Tourism Exchange New Zealand.
Using industry-wide technology, the Tourism Exchange provides an open booking exchange (OBX™) where suppliers and distributors can contract and transact in real time.
It will provide unprecedented market reach to suppliers of accommodation, tours, events, attractions and transport services in New Zealand. And it will offer the widest choice ever of tourism services in New Zealand for distributors and wholesalers to on-sell to consumers.
The Tourism Exchange is not a booking engine or allocation management system. It’s not a channel manager. It’s more than a year-round trade expo. It’s the new generation marketplace for the New Zealand tourism industry.

The Tourism Exchange is a new business in New Zealand, established in September 2008 through a joint venture between Australian online tourism specialists, V3 (Vcubed Pty Ltd.) and Air New Zealand.
Making the investment in the Tourism Exchange, Air New Zealand’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Norm Thompson, described , the Open Booking Exchange™ as having “exciting potential for New Zealand tourism”. “The airline’s involvement is part of the company’s commitment to playing a wider role in the success of the industry”.
The involvement of V3 in the New Zealand Tourism Exchange provides proven experience in online marketplace activity in the tourism sector.
