Important information about changes at Tourism Exchange New Zealand

27/08/2010

As a valued business partner of Tourism Exchange New Zealand, I would like to let you know about some changes we are making to the management of this business.

As you may know Air New Zealand is the major shareholder of Tourism Exchange.  Air New Zealand also has a cornerstone shareholding in Perth based Vcubed Pty Ltd (V³) which operates the equivalent exchange model in Australia.

As a result of a desire to more closely align the operations of the two businesses, the decision has been made to integrate the management of Tourism Exchange into V³. To maximise the synergies of the two exchanges, V³ will run the Tourism Exchange business from Australia.

As a result of this integration, a number of the functions of the Tourism Exchange will move to Perth, Australia. A sales force will remain based out of Auckland, but marketing, customer service, technical support and general support functions will be from Australia.

I wish to thank you for the assistance and support that you have provided in building Tourism Exchange to a business that now promotes over 1100 tourism operators across New Zealand.

The Tourism Exchange team will be in touch in the next few weeks to inform you of progress towards integration, the transition programme for your business and your key contacts moving forward.

Kind regards,
Chris Hunter
CEO
